The Public Voting Awards for the North Notts Business Awards have proved extremely popular and that's a fantastic accolade to how much local people across the North Notts region LOVE our local firms!
The public voting categories consist of 2 stages, nominations and voting. Nominations Are Now Closed: The nominations for these awards will open on Wednesday 30th April 2025 and close on Friday 30th May 2025. Voting: Voting will then commence on Saturday, 31st May 2025 The deadline for your votes is 10.00pm on Friday, 4th July 2025. Finalists:
The finalists will be announced at the North Notts BC Business Breakfast meeting on Wednesday, 30th July 2025 at Retford Cricket Club. All entrants are recommended and encouraged to attend this meeting:- 1) to find out if they have been selected as finalists, 2) to be presented with their finalists certificate 3) to take part in photos opportunities for the press and publicity 4) out of respect for both the judges and the awards sponsors. The Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, 19th September 2025 at the North Notts Arena. |

Best Trades Business AwardThis award celebrates tradespersons and trades companies with their businesses registered in Bassetlaw.
It includes skilled tradespersons and companies that specialise in a particular trade, occupation, and field of work involved in building, improving, or maintaining homes and business premises and those in the automotive sector, such as motor mechanic firms. You can nominate firms such as painters and decorators, builders, roofers, plasters, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, kitchen fitters, landscape gardeners, chimney sweeps, handyman services, window cleaners, gardeners, car repair garages, vehicle detailers and valets, and many more. If you are unsure of the eligibility or suitability of a business that you would like to nominate, then please get in touch and we will advise you accordingly. Our decision will be final. Why do we use the Google Forms system? Because it is FREE!
It is free to administer and free for you to vote. It also means that we do not need to pass costs on to the nominees either. And you like free, don't you? We can get a great text to vote system but this will cost £1,500 plus VAT per annum and it will cost everyone to cast their votes too. If you would like to pay for this text to vote system to be set up then please get in touch, we would love to hear from those who would like to fund it. |
NOMINATION AND VOTING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
To nominate a business for one of the above awards please complete the above form in the relevant category specifying that you would like to make a nomination The sooner you nominate your favourite firms, the sooner they may get ready to commence their own voting campaigns.
You may nominate any local firm falling into the appropriate categories based within the district of Bassetlaw - that's defined as those situated within the geographical district / pay business rates to Bassetlaw District Council, not areas which share a Bassetlaw postal address. If you are unsure please ask us for postcode verification of the firm's geographical eligibility. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions published on the entry forms for more details
A firm may only be nominated for and included in one of the four public voting categories. Where a firm is simultaneously nominated in more than one category the nominated firm will be given the choice of which category they wish to participate.
Please supply a valid company / business name and email contact address when making your nomination to allow us to contact the firm.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, 30th May 2025.
Any firm nominated will notified of their nomination by email and be required to formally accept their nomination and agree to abide by the Terms and Condition of the awards. These are available to download below. In accordance with the Terms and Conditions and out of respect for the sponsors, voters, organisers and other finalists, all finalists are required to purchase one or more tickets and attend the Awards Ceremony. Any finalists who does not purchase a ticket and attend the Awards Ceremony will be eliminated.
