Neil Roberts, BA (Hons) FCA Director, Wright Vigar Chartered Accountants
Neil started working in his local corner shop when he was ten and showed an early interest in business at school where he sold anything he could get his hands on, including rabbits’ feet and tails! As you would expect Neil’s client base includes a number of entrepreneurs, with investments and businesses in a range of industry sectors. An accountant for twenty years, he helps clients achieve their goals of greater profitability and personal satisfaction. Tax planning is a crucial part of the service Neil provides for his clients to ensure that both the current and next generation are able to retain as much of the wealth they generate as possible.
Outside of work, Neil is a trustee of the St Hugh’s Foundation Charitable Trust and is a board member of the North Notts. Leader Project supporting local rural developments projects.
Simon Turner, Managing Director, Edgewise Edgestrip Ltd
Simon is from Retford and studied Mechanical Engineering at Brunel University. He is now the Managing Director of Edgewise Edgestrip Ltd, suppliers of edge strips for copper refineries worldwide. He has been a company director of 7 companies, all based in North Nottinghamshire, in a wide range of industries including, electrolytic refining, petrochemicals, chemical filtration, commercial vehicle haulage, vehicle refinishing and waste recycling. He also has gained experience in employment law, financing, investments, industrial property design, commercial video production and shop retailing. The company won the NNBA International Trade Award for 3 years in succession. Awards to the other companies include; East Midlands exporter of the year, SMART Award and the Queens Award for Export.
Simon has been involved in Motor Racing for over 20 years winning a UK championship in 2002. More recently he has been racing in the Citroën 2CV UK Championship and driven in numerous 24 hour races, winning two of them.

George Buchanan Managing Director, Hodsock Priory
George is the Managing Director of the Hodsock Priory Estate, home to his family for over 200 years and famous for its snowdrops and country house wedding venue. Born to host, George loves working with people and giving guests a memorable experience in special historic places.
Away from work, everything revolves around family and friends, music, film, food and drink. George can often be found on the cricket field playing for Retford CC or sampling new restaurants before going to a show.
